　　China’s central bank reiterated that it will implement a targeted and prudent monetary policy in 2023 and provide support to domestic demand, mapping out forceful financial support as part of the measures to drive an overall turnaround in economic activities this year.
　　The People’s Bank of China (PBOC) said it will ＂comprehensively use multiple monetary policy tools and keep liquidity reasonably ample.＂ The remarks in a statement Wednesday followed the PBOC’s annual work conference.
　　Growth in M2 broad money supply and social financing is envisioned to keep pace with nominal economic growth, the bank said, pledging to take more measures to lower financing costs.
　　And, the central bank will use financial measures to prop up domestic demand and supply. The bank plans to support the recovery and expansion of domestic consumption and key infrastructure projects in the country.
　　Businesses across a spectrum of varied ownership types will be treated fairly and financial institutions will be encouraged to further address financing issues with privately run small and micro-sized firms, the central bank said, reiterating financial support tailored for a stable and healthy property market.
　　Lower interest rates and cuts in reserve requirements could be in the pipeline, experts noted, adding that reserve requirement cuts adding up to 50 basis points are very likely on the cards throughout the year.
　　Over the course of 2022, the central bank announced two universal cuts in reserve requirements for financial institutions, 25 basis points apiece. It lowered the one-year benchmark loan prime rate (LPR) twice last year while subjecting the five-year LPR to three cuts.
　　The central bank will also continue to prevent financial risks, continue to push for the yuan＂s exchange rate to be basically stable at a reasonable level, and push forward the digital yuan pilot scheme in 2023, it said.

　　一是精准有力实施好稳健的货币政策。综合运用多种货币政策工具，保持流动性合理充裕。保持广义货币供应量和社会融资规模增速同名义经济增速基本匹配。多措并举降低市场主体融资成本。保持人民币汇率在合理均衡水平上的基本稳定。
　　二是加大金融对国内需求和供给体系的支持力度。支持恢复和扩大消费、重点基础设施和重大项目建设。坚持对各类所有制企业一视同仁，引导金融机构进一步解决好民营小微企业融资问题。落实金融16条措施，支持房地产市场平稳健康发展。
　　三是持续推动金融风险防范化解。进一步发挥国务院金融委办公室牵头抓总作用。健全金融稳定保障基金管理制度。
　　四是持续完善宏观审慎管理体系。优化宏观审慎压力测试机制。强化系统重要性银行监管。加强金融控股公司监管。
　　五是持续深化国际金融合作和对外开放。做好二十国集团可持续金融牵头工作。稳步扩大规则、规制、管理、标准等制度型开放。有序推进人民币国际化。
　　六是持续深化金融改革。继续完善金融基础设施统筹监管框架。加强平台企业金融业务常态化监管。继续深化外汇领域改革开放。

　　新使命，大未来Hong Kong will resume quarantine-free travel with the mainland this Sunday, with a quota system to be available starting 6 p.m. today, the SAR government said. Fifty-thousand Hong Kong residents will be allowed to cross into the mainland each day via the Shenzhen Bay, Man Kam To or Lok Ma Chau checkpoints and the same number of mainlanders can travel in the opposite direction, while up to 10,000 people will be crossing the borders by air, sea or via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. Hongkongers returning to the SAR and mainlanders heading north will be exempt from the quota arrangement.

Shenzhen ranked third, following Beijing and Shanghai, with enterprises paying an average of 13,086 yuan per month to workers in the fourth quarter of 2022. Guangzhou took fifth place, with company workers earning a monthly 11,710 yuan on average. Enterprises in Zhuhai paid an average of 10,713 yuan per month to employees, the eighth-highest pay level of the cities surveyed.

　　产业及公司新闻Chinese electronics device maker Luxshare Precision Industry has denied a media report claiming Apple reduced its orders. ＂Luxshare’s cooperation with its clients is normal and the business is progressing in an orderly manner, according to the working plan,＂ the Shenzhen-based company said today. There are no notable changes to the company’s businesses mentioned in the report, it added. Apple notified several suppliers to produce fewer AirPods, Apple Watches, and MacBooks in the first quarter because of the weakening consumer demand, media reported earlier. Foxconn, the world’s largest iPhone assembler, said it has no comments to make on its clients and production.
